Sit a spell or stare awhile? Presenting Quartaro Design's introduction to seashell furniture artistry, Sgabello, brilliantly marries two elements: Fine art and function.
 
A petite ottoman of high quality, sturdy design in brand new condition serve as the function to this piece.  Perched a top wooden legs, luxurious, velvet cushion in an undeniably luscious shade of blush pink. Just a glance was all it took for the artist to immediately envision it's artistry.
 
Thousands of tiny seashells encrust the frame including pearlized Malabar shells, intermix with Black Moon Nerite  & clusters of rare, intact, fossilized Kitten Paws.  Jewel tone Pink Umbomium drape like garland, cascading around each leg. Bands of large Green Turban add interest while Columbella Nassa cover each foot.  Large, polished Red Abalone wrap the corners & focal interest center frame.
 
Free form artistry with a touch of pattern in the Italian grotto style.  Each seashell species chosen for color, size & shape to accentuate the luxe fabrication of velvet cushion: not to compete. The end result is an extraordinary piece of furniture that appears as if it was a special delivery of the sea; a natural evolution of her making: beautiful to the eye & practical in function.

Sgabello measurents approximately 18.5" H X 20.5" W X 15" D. The frame is solid wood construction with adjustable levelers to the feet.  The seat cushion is polyurethane covered in luxe, velvet fabrication.  The seashells were locally & globally sourced and have been sealed with a clear acrylic coating for ease of dusting.
